Just opened! Yayoi Kusama is known for creating infinity rooms, the latest of which is at Chelsea’s David Zwirner Gallery.
You can also drop by the museum and play in the interactive children’s play area, as well as tour the interesting exhibits throughout the museum. Also look out for MOCAKIDS story time – English and Mandarin stories, songs and nursery rhymes plus arts and crafts - 2 nd and 4 th Thursday of the month –aimed at children 3-6 years old but older and younger children are also welcome. MOCACREATE is a new craft workshop program open to the whole family – held the first and third Saturday of the month from 1pm – 4pm. MOCA offers fun, and FREE, programs for children as well as a great play space for younger children. Studio fees are $13 plus whichever ceramic you choose to paint. It’s a nice calm environment in which to spend an afternoon. This cute little studio is open for drop ins. Two locations: 46 Hester Street between Ludlow and Essex Streets AND 34 Ludlow Street between Hester and Grand Street.
